Welcome to 2024 at Jubilee Road. layout tour and plans for the next 12 months
Would be great to know the locations of all these videos.
All ways boldly raining in wales isn’t it and I got a new model railway
Yeah I have my layout in attic and it’s just too hot at the moment - even in Scotland !
Ok I found it :). I know this is not your thing but it was great.!!! I sure did enjoy the older cars like the Bentley and the Bugatti as well!!!Well done on this one one and thanks for doing it mate!!!!!
Hi mate good to see you and WOW I have always wanted to go to the Good Wood festival but o well some day!!! Sorry it is so hot for you in the room. I do look forward for more videos and my guess it is HO :). But we will see. Well, I am off for now and don't work to hard and all the best to you :)!!!!!!
It was December when we first moved to this house, and I thought the roof space would be ideal for a layout. So I started work, but when the spring came, it was hot as a bakehouse up there! I had made the layout in two sections that could be taken apart and used downstairs. The width of the hatch is an important dimension! The length of the layout board is not as critical as the width, but you need to determine the maximum length you can lower down. In my case with worked out to 6' 6". I have found TT:120, to be too small for the purposes of videoing! But don't let that deter you from starting a TT:120 layout! In this video, I show you a way to make your TT:120 layout so that it can be removed from the loft before the start of summer and put back up there for the winter! ruclips.net/video/G1V_h7Yb6BA/видео.htmlsi=INlqBMKXBe4X9e8N Thanks for uploading.
Hi Matt. You need a strategy to create time for your hobby: mine's investing in lottery tickets so I can retire. It's not succeeded yet, however.... 😂😢
T gauge! lol
Hi Matt, Did you manage to increase the volume on your Accurascale Manor loco. If you did then could you please share how you did it. Many thanks.
Ahh, so our heat wave finally rolled on to you good folks over there! Sorry. :( Nice update and nice to hear the plans to come!
Good update here Matt.
T Gauge LOL! Have a feeling it something to do with the Railways in Wales but a nice update Matt and do understand that it's hard to run a RUclips channel and having a job as well.
you have some HO scale already.. maybe it will make a Cameo
just talking about you yesterday with Amy. she saying meeting you and seeing your area was one of her favorite parts of her trip, and would love to go back to the area.
Create Videos when you're ready. 👍 Like you, Monsville Railways has a Facebook page to promote the channel too. I think that I just followed you? Happy Modelling
FOS you could have popped in :) we had super foil installed in our loft and a dry ridge system. Seems to have helped but cross ventilation is the only answer to keep it more pleasant up there.
Oh bless you, we fully understand. Look forward to your future video
I prefer running sessions and real railway content. I've committed myself to adding N Gauge to my model railway collection. If you want to see my new N Gauge model collection in its entirety, small as it is, you can watch my video of it on Kelly Ashford Trains. Don't let the GWR Gunpowder Van scare you away. In any case, the new Winter Wonderland Steam Railway won't be in operation till November. Take my advice, and save model railway running sessions for November. Model steamies work and run more efficiently in cold weather conditions.
Yes indeed it's been so warm even ice cream has be melting. Looking forward to seeing the scenery out and about videos The cock up ones I know you got Halloween and Christmas to come later in the year also you got the garden railway and I think there's a few new models coming as well as not for getting some form of Gauge I think it's G. It's also good to see you in front of the camera I find it funny😊
Yes, Matt, it has been warm for the past two weeks in the midlands, too has I'm in the same situation myself having a loft layout. Take care and happy modelling, Matt 👍
We understand Plus it been warm
Hello. Video Super Klasse 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks.......FIM👮🏻🚂🤚🏻
Yep having a busy lifestyle does sort of delay things including model railway's and other things. I to have had many busy months getting a flat prepared for myself to live in. Now I am in I can relax and think about putting a small layout in somewhere.
good update on channel matt keep up the good vid thanks lee
❤
Nice loco. Sam had the same issue with the roof magnets! Being the son of a South Wales coal miner, I have a soft spot for anything with "NCB" written on the side! Dapol do a good job, and your video has done it justice. They still seem to have issues with couplings, though...
Absolutely amazing! I think I will need to pick one of these up
A train on par with the Pendolino for me, is the Voyager. I must say, also for me, I like the GWR AT300s
A Stunning model of Prince of Wales
4:30 You Stupid Thing!!
Its a shame that they fudged the liveries for most of the models and used a one size fits all model. The model itself is brilliant, but it would have been nice if they'd have catered for some basic detail variation to better represent certain locomotives and were a bit more careful with researching the liveries.
Hi Matt just watched your review of the Dapol Hawthorn Leslie. I have ordered one from Rails of Sheffield with sound l have also asked them to weather it. I have ordered the spider black model. Really looking forward to getting mine now having seen your review it has got me more excited to get mine. Regards Ron @ Willenhall Parkway
That's a stunner Matt, cracking little engine and great livery too.
Thats interesting. My Dapol Marston, Thompson and Evershed locomotive sounds are exactly the same. I wonder if they used Marston's sounds for all of the sound fitted Hawthorn Leslie Locomotives?
Amazing beautiful little engine. Great sound too. Thanks for sharing. Excellent review Matt !
They are nice models, well designed good weight, however the cylinders, what you call a draincock is actually a gravity fed lubricator pot, which Dapol/China have fitted upside down.
Another impressive ready to run industrial steam locomotive. I will get one of these eventually, but with a recent property purchase, all model purchasing currently has had to go on stop.
A good overall review of this loco here Matt, right off the bat though I will say that small industrial tank engines are of very little interest to me, compared to a big express passenger locomotive these smaller industrial type locomotives are just not as exciting to me compared to a big express passenger locomotive like for example a Peppercorn Class A1 which my most recent model was a Bachmann Tornado, onto the model you have here though from some other reviews I have seen dapol do seem to have made a nice one overall, the liver put on this one is very nice, I don’t have any NCB liveried locos myself but my dad has a J94 in N gauge and that is in a NCB blue livery, quite amazing how Dapol have have managed to fit sound into this considering how small it is, a great review overall here Matt but as I say I think it’s very unlikely for one of these to be added to my collection, it just falls into a category of loco that I don’t have much interest in.
Cool little loco. Great sound and smooth running for its type!
Hmm, bit shonky on some of the details, bit clunky looking around where the chassis meets the buffer beams, no attempt to represent the frames being two plates just a block of a chassis in there. Personal taste as to that being a bit meh. The sprung buffers are nice compared to say, the hornby Peckett but the hornby Peckett does a better job elsewhere in terms of looks. Either way, another great edition to the variety of small shunters out there. Should scrub up nicely once those few easily resolved issues are dealt with.
Only a few hours ago, I watched Sam's Trains' review of the exact same model. He chose to buy the cheaper analogue version. These small saddle tank engines are deceptively powerful. Also very beautiful if I may say so. Try operating the little 0-4-0 with a longish line of wagons and a Guard's Van. She is full of surprises, believe you, me.
It doesn’t just look like the real thing, but it sounds like the real thing!! A very exciting locomotive!!
The NCB blue Hawthorne Leslie is a gorgeous little locomotive. My current layout is Walmington cum Yealmington, both the television name of the place and the actual name of the location. It’s a small village in West Sussex. The layout was going to be a “Dad’s Army” layout until I purchased a Class 101 diesel multiple unit.
Sounds great 👍
The Hawthorne Leslie locomotive is quite a good looking little machine. Personally, I would have a red and black one like that on the Epping Ongar Railway.
Great sound.
Well you got to give dapol 10 out of 10 for that best model yet though you mentioned the lining and the magnet which hasn't spoilt the locomotive that much, as for its run around the layout and it's sounds it is like if your watching the real loco back in the days of steam. The inside of the cap with that fire glow looks truly amazing indeed.
Are you attending the diesel gala Matt?
Nice collection of USA rail stock.
Thanks Stuart 😊
Nice job, Matt! We fought a huge war over a 2% tax on tea and now look at us!!! 🤯
